About
The personal blog of Etienne Posthumus. A cultural heritage computing consultant. I like to make simple software that solves complex problems.
There are bits here about life, classification systems, metadata and databases, programming software (mostly Python/Django/Javascript), bicycles and yoga. That pretty much sums me up in a nutshell.
What else is this for? For my kids. As I type this it provides a glimpse of who I am. More permanent than the fleeting glimpses of chatting over the dinner table, or our conversations while cycling along. And less bound by age-appropriateness. Even my lovely little ones grow up - so fast - and one day they will be adults too. I hope to have even more great conversations with them when the time comes.
